Few of the various ways of OJT are Coaching, Mentoring, Job Rotation, Job Instructional Training, Understudy and Apprenticeship. The basic principle behind OJT is “Learning by Doing”.
Most of the corporate houses nowadays, prefer to put the candidates on training for few months before they get them on fully fledged work field, these companies may pay stipend or may not, it is completely dependent on their specific policies. Once this period of training gets over that can be in usual cases last from one month to three months, the compensation mentioned in offer letter or which is mutually agreed becomes applicable from next month onwards.
